Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? We have answers. If you don't see what you're looking for, don't hesitate to contact us.

What should I bring to my first appointment?
Appointments

Please bring your photo ID, insurance card, a list of current medications, any recent imaging (MRI, X-ray, CT scans), and referral paperwork if required by your insurance. Arriving 15 minutes early helps us process your intake paperwork efficiently.

Do you accept my insurance?
Insurance

We accept most major insurance plans including Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, and many others. Please contact our office to verify your specific plan before your visit. We also offer self-pay options with transparent pricing.

How long does a typical procedure take?
Procedures

Most interventional procedures (injections, nerve blocks) take 15–45 minutes. You should plan to be at our office for approximately 1.5–2 hours total, including prep time and post-procedure monitoring. Initial consultations are typically 60 minutes.

Are the procedures painful?
Procedures

We prioritize your comfort throughout every procedure. Local anesthesia is used, and many patients report only mild pressure during injections. Sedation options are available for more involved procedures. Our team will discuss pain management options with you beforehand.

Can I drive myself home after a procedure?
Procedures

For most simple injections, you may be able to drive yourself. However, if sedation is used or if the procedure involves areas that could temporarily affect motor function, you will need a responsible adult to drive you home. We will advise you when scheduling.

Do you offer telehealth appointments?
Appointments

Yes, we offer telehealth follow-up appointments for medication reviews, progress discussions, and treatment adjustments. Initial consultations and procedures must be conducted in person. You can schedule telehealth visits through our patient portal.

What is your approach to opioid medications?
Treatment

We take a multimodal approach to pain management, emphasizing non-opioid therapies including interventional procedures, physical therapy, and non-opioid medications. When opioids are necessary, we follow strict prescribing guidelines with regular monitoring and compliance checks to ensure patient safety.

How do I access my patient portal?
Portal

After your first visit, our front desk will provide you with login credentials for the patient portal. Through the portal, you can view appointments, send administrative messages to our staff, and manage your account. If you have trouble logging in, contact our office for assistance.
